Belphegor - The Devil's Son Drum Cover

Hello everyone!

Last summer I joined Belphegor for some festival shows and during my rehearsals I got the chance to try the ACD Phantom Pedals. It was instant love and so I decided to make a lil drum cover of one of their fastest songs, regarding double bass runs.
This is pretty much how I play stuff like that nowadays always a mix of singles and doubles. It helps me stay kind of relaxed but I also want to challenge myself and maintain stamina. I also spent a lot of time working on a more or less fluid switch between doubles and singles and now I'm at a point, where I'm quite happy with it.

Some words regarding the Pedals:
The settings were pretty much “out of the box”. The only thing I changed was the spring tension which I set to around ¾ of max (with heavy springs) and I used the direct drive link. I also tried the belt drive but I'm so used to playing direct drive pedals, that I didn't want to spent too much time messing around with it.
Compared to my Darwins, the beaters were a little bit further in and due to the slightly different design the point where the footboard is connected to the direct drive is also a bit further back. So after playing a couple of hours with the Phantom, I also changed my Darwins to copy the feel and those tiny adjustments made it also a tiny bit easier to control the pedals. And you can't have enough control over your pedals, haha...
Thanks a lot to Dennis for always improving and delivering unquestionably some of the finest gear out there! You're a true genius!

The mix is provided by Mathias Garmusch, thanks a lot man!
