Bending Without Breaking in Life’s Storms Like a Palm Tree

“The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree, He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those who are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.” Palm 92v1214

1. Connection to God is more important than circumstances.
If you have deep roots, the drought will not destroy you. (Jeremiah 17v78)

2. Cuts will not kill you. (Ephesians 4v32)
The wrong way to deal with pain:
Medicate it (with addictions)
Motivate it (with busyness)
Meditate it

The right way of dealing with pain:
Face it
Forgive
Follow Jesus away from it
Find professional help
