Hurricane Beryl has touched down on the Texas coast with a dangerous storm surge and strong winds, the U.S. National Weather Service reported. The storm strengthened back to a Category 1 hurricane on Sunday after leaving a path of deadly destruction in parts of Mexico and the Caribbean.
