UPDATE: After driving around with $450+ of learning supplies in my trunk and giving it away to different children and families, I have a few new thoughts. Which are: if the purpose of you buying these supplies is to help your child prepare for school, very little of this is going to give you what you're looking for.

BUT, if the goal is to keep your child busy for a while (like the mom at the coffee shop who I just donated several workbooks too) then a lot of these supplies will do the trick just fine.
