BEST BOOKS FOR OPHTHALMOLOGY!

Follow
Doctor Eyeball MD

In this video we'll go over the best books for ophthalmology, which are also some of the best books for optometry I think if you really want to know the nitty gritty of eye disease. We'll cover all levels of ophthalmology books from beginner ophthalmology texts, to intermediate ophthalmology texts, to advanced ophthalmology texts, to the best ophthalmology reference texts, and even some of my favorite online ophthalmology resources. And I'll even throw in a good text on refraction for you nerds out there, lol.

When I started in ophthalmology residency I didn't know exactly which books to start with because there were so many out there. In this video I'll give you some of my favorite reference texts if you're a medical student doing an ophthalmology rotation, a new ophthalmology resident, or even if you're just trying to get the basics as a family medicine doctor or ER doctor. I'll also talk about some of the subspecialty specific texts that I've found to be quite good. There's something in this video for people in all levels of training in eye care.

The links below are the books I talk about in this video that you can get on Amazon. These are affiliate links (full disclosure). But I recommend checking with your university's library first to see if they have these available as an online resource or even a hard text because some of them are expensive so save your money if you can get them from online access or at the library :)

I hope you find this video helpful and guiding as you start your journey to learning about that little orb in the head! Best of luck and happy reading :)
