What's up guys! Today's video is the best exercises in the frontal plane, and why frontal plane exercises are important. A lot of the typical movements we see are more of the sagittal plane, so forwards and backwards. Those movements are absolutely crucial to perform, but we just can't forget to be training the other planes as well, including the transverse plane. Especially for athletes, we need to be able to be strong in these positions, for example, like in the bottom of a lateral lunge. Much sporting action takes place in the frontal plane or with side to side movements, and many people overlook this in their programming. Just as it is important to hit different movement patterns, it is equally important to make sure we're getting adequate training in all 3 planes of motion. Now, I will say, some of these exercises are not strict in the frontal plane. I still including them because they do a great job at working the same muscles that frontal plane exercises work. That's the main goal here, train those muscles and get used to being strong in those positions. I don't need 100% strict frontal plane, we just wanted to include exercises that work what we need to work. Hope this helps!
