Unicoi State Park is only 5 miles from the popular Helen, Georgia which is known as the Bavarian Mountain Town in North Georgia. This State Park is packed with numerous hiking trails that feature a beautiful lake, cascading waterfalls, rushing rivers, abandoned cabins, and much more!

I decided to take a leisurely hike around the stunning lake and encountered participants from a trail running race at the same time. I didn't expect to see much on this hike but I was blown away by the variety of terrain that I came across!
