You won’t be able to resist this pressed sandwich classic!

Julia Child famously said while making this sandwich, “When you eat it, they say it isn’t really any good unless the oil comes down and falls off your elbow.” The longer it sits soaking in its own juices the better, which is why its called “bathed bread,” in French.

Socca is a flatbread made of chickpea flour, water, salt and olive oil and cooked in a giant round pizza pan in a wood fire oven. When you pick one up at Chez Pipo you stroll the Port Lympia marina and village referred to as the little Marais of Nice.

Or from Chez Theresa’s in the FLOWER MARKET you’ll stroll along the Cours Saleya while at the most BEAUTIFUL outdoor market in NICE or the PROMENADE des Anglais, just across the street by the sea. The promenade continues past the pinkroofed Le Negresco, with views in the west to the hills of Antibes and Cannes.
