As a painting contractor we use various types of tape for painting. Here is a description of those tape brands and types:
Blue Frog Tape: Medium Adhesion, 14 day removal, Good for Cured Painted Surfaces, Metal, Glass. Includes edge lock
IPG 29: Low/Medium Adhesion, 14 day removal, good for cured painted surfaces, metal and glass. No edge lock
Yellow Frog Tape: Low Adhesion, 60 day removal, good on previously painted surfaces, wood floors
Scotch 2020 Tape: High Adhesion, 3 day removal, good on carpet, plastic, metal and non painted surfaces
Scotch Blue Ultra Sharp Lines: Medium adhesion, 28 day removal, good when retexturing walls
