Some of the many great activities for visitors to Skagway and its surrounding area to partake in include walking around the city’s downtown area, riding the White Pass & Yukon Route Railway, visiting the Red Onion Saloon, and hiking the Chilkoot Trail. Much of Skagway’s downtown area has been designated a national historic park, which means that there are many finely preserved historical buildings to see. The White Pass & Yukon Route Railway, meanwhile, offers what is considered to be one of the greatest train trips around.

The Red Onion Saloon was once a functioning brothel during the Klondike Gold Rush.
