Frédérique Pichard and Jan Ploeg have something in common. In France and Ireland, they maintain an intense and loving relationship with Dony and Dusty, two solitary ambassador dolphins.

For Frédérique, the encounter took place in Brittany while Dony was being treated for an injured nose and she remained at his side for a week. Afterwards, they met regularly, sharing special moments together between land and sea.
On the west coast of Ireland, Jan Ploeg experienced a similar adventure, the difference being that it was the dolphin who came to his rescue.

Their relationships, though equally intense, are very different. Frédérique takes an intuitive approach and shares a kind of connection with his dolphin. Whereas Jan, with more of a behavioural approach, tries to understand his dolphin as a living being.
