1. Review the evidence base for statins as the cornerstone of LDLlowering therapy and ASCVD prevention
2. Apply evidence from new clinical trials with nonstatin therapy (ezetimibe, PCSK9 inhibitors) into practice
3. Compare and contrast current Cholesterol Guidelines (2013 ACC/AHA, 2015 NLA, and 2016 ACC NonStatin Expert Consensus)
4. Understand how future targets of lipidlowering therapy may further reduce residual cardiovascular risk
