*As much as I enjoy practicing more primitive methods of fire making, A Bic lighter has always had a place in my kit. I don't use it always, but it is nice to have instant flame when you need it. These are a few tips or simple mods to make your lighter just a bit better and I will demonstrate use of a lighter in a couple of ways. I will also demonstrate how to salvage a soaked lighter very easily. Many people like using the "roll on the pants" method to achieve this but I prefer the shown method as it doesn't expend the mini ferro rod in the lighter that actually makes the sparks. The rolling method works fine in the short term but I always prefer to think in terms of conserving my resources. I also feel that this method is just as fast if not faster for me personally.
