In today's video I am discussing a new interview of Seiko President Akio Naito that talks about major changes that are coming to Grand Seiko. In a recent Hodinkee interview, the president mentions key changes to make Grand Seiko have more mass appeal. He even mentions trying to get the same level of fandom as brands like Rolex. As part of this wave of potential changes, he talks about adding micro adjustment to the bracelet, and reducing the number of SKUs and limited editions. Lastly, he talks about changing Grand Seiko's design focus away from nature. This could put iconic Grand Seiko watches in jeopardy such as the Snowflake and Four Seasons models.
