When my family relocated to the North East, we had no idea we'd wind up in the unfortunate predicament that we did. (Comment below if you want the tea on that). Instead of the support system we thought we had in place, we wound up homeless, and scrambled to get what we could get. In a short amount of time with the limited funds we had, we wound up in an all utilities included 1 bedroom apartment, which was all we could afford at the time.

As a big family in a small apartment, it's actually not that bad. The only real downside was that we had no furniture for over 4 months, but thanks to a program that we were referred to, we no longer have to sleep on mattresses on the floor, or share a sectional (which is very uncomfortable when you're pregnant). Luckily we've found a way to make being a family of 5 in a 1 bedroom work.
