American, United, Delta and Southwest are often called the big four U.S. airlines. JetBlue’s tieup with Spirit would make it the fifth largest domestic carrier. This deal is an ‘’acquisition about assets’ and would increase the airline’s pilots, planes and seat capacity, supercharging its growth and accelerating its plan by years.
