Follow along as we head to Big Lake Arizona for a week of dispersed camping and fishing just south of Big Lake Recreation Area along FR68.

We had a great week, relaxing in the cool temps at 9,000 feet other than rain every afternoon (with one or two heavy days) it was a pleasure to be out of the heat and enjoy the cool pine country or Arizona. In the hottest summer days in Arizona, Big Lake is one of the few places within a relatively short drive from Phoenix where you can go to escape the hot temperatures It offers plenty of camping areas as well as fishing, hiking and kayaking opportunities as well.
