There is a great paved Rail Trail that runs thru miles of stunning rural Dutchess and Columbia County landscapes.. the Harlem Valley Rail Trail ( https://www.hvrt.org/ ). We biked it five years ago. It has been expanding. We started at the Taconic State Park which is near one of our favorite waterfalls (Bash Bish Falls    • Bash Bish Waterfalls and Taconic Stat...   ). We rode down to Wassaic. The round trip was 50 miles. There are many places to stop and eat/drink/relax!
