He was also a devout follower of the teachings of the Buddha and developed a close relationship with him. Bimbisara's reign is remembered as a time of prosperity and cultural flourishing in Magadha, laying the foundation for the illustrious Maurya Empire that followed.
However, his life ended tragically when he was imprisoned by his own son, Ajatashatru, leading to his eventual demise. Despite his tumultuous end, Bimbisara's legacy endures as a symbol of ancient India's political and cultural vitality.
