This is an enclosure makeover for our rescue ball python, Dora. In it we build a DIY background using cork flats, expanding foam and silicone.

Then we reuse her soil, which has been "active" for well over a year and is filled with springtails, isopods (dwarf white and giant canyon), roaches and beetles.

A few of the plants are new and a few of the plants are familiar to her and you'll see her explore every inch of the new enclosure at the end. She has four "hides", a basking platform with UVB and halogen heat, and tons of natural cover from the background and plants.

Most of the plants (not all) are native to the same ranges in Africa that the snakes is found. This is not necessary for her well being, but adds some fun into the planning of the project.
