Bird Flu update after another human case was detected in Michigan, USA. Bird Flu, also known as highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) and H5N1, has been running rampant through bird and animal populations for several years. More recently it started to infect large number of dairy cows in the United States. Since this time over the past several weeks, the USA has seen three human cases of Bird Flu jump from cows to humans. Symptoms have included conjunctivitis or inflammation of the eyes, but this most recent human case also had respiratory symptoms.
