Image to STL convertor is an opensouce application, useful for generating 3D mesh surfaces from a variety of bitmap formats. Naturally it works best with height mapped images, easily created using methods from other cnc4free.org channel videos. This video demonstrates use of 'Image to STL' in creation of basrelief (including high detail), lithophanes (from photographic source) and moulds (or molds).
