Did you know that one of four cowboys who went on the trail was Black?
The Witte Museum is excited to welcome back an exhibition showcasing the powerful stories of Black cowboys. Corderro explores the lives and work of the numerous Black men, women and children – enslaved and free who ran Texas ranches and participated in cattle drives before the Civil War through the turn of the twentieth century.
In this story, Corderro focuses on Texas legend Tex Williams.
