Look, we strive to cover all baseball video games on this channel, even if they are experimental browserbased, barelyinteractive community storytelling events with horror elements. So here's footage I captured of the first day of the new season of Blaseball, on January 9th 2023.

Blaseball, on the surface, is a website where you watch little score bugs of fictional baseball games and can bet on them. As the season goes on, it will add more and more elements, and there's a big community that does fan art and writing about the players and teams, etc. It's an interesting thing.

Note: It's part of Blaseball lore that games always play out the bottom of the inning, even if the home team is ahead. This is called "shame." Whether it was originally done that way to paper over some laziness in how the games were coded, I can't say, but it's part of how it works forever now.
