Awareness Of Blinking

Blinking refreshes the eyes with tear fluid and is a natural part of how vision works.
Doing closeup work such as working on a computer or reading is known to decrease the blinking rate.
This can lead to an uncomfortable sensation of dryness in the eyes.
It's helpful to be conscious of your blinking rate when doing closeup work so that dry eye doesn't occur. If it does, take a break for a while.
