Blue Sky Studios was founded in February 1987 by Chris Wedge, Carl Ludwig, and four other artists/technicians that previously worked on the 1982 film Tron. They're best remembered for producing the series of Ice Age films. They became defunct in April 2021, since Disney's third animation studio wasn't viable due to the financial effects of the COVID19 pandemic.
