One of Bluffton, Ohio's biggest events of the year, National Night Out, takes place the first Tuesday of August. It's a chance for the community to gather at the municipal pool for hot dogs, recreation, fireworks and, most importantly, to interact with local law enforcement and emergency responders. The aim is to build stronger relationships between residents and those who serve and protect. While community support is very strong for its police force, the interaction helps build better lines of communication for the needs of the small town. And the night is also a lot of fun.
