Today we're driving the BMW iX1 eDrive20 to the coast of Norfolk, UK where we might catch some of the local fauna. This 550km return trip over 2 days is a perfect setup for testing the car in real life. It's a rare thing to spend more than 8h in a car over just a weekend, so if that can happen without much fuss, then that means that this car can handle a lot of reallife driving situations. And it should! Because it's not a small city car, nor is it a cheap one for that matter.

Along the way, we check out efficiency on the motorway, with both tailwind on the inbound journey and headwind on the way back. We get a sense of the car refinement too. Is the eDrive 20 powerful enough? Does it accelerate well? How does it feel in the cabin, using the infotainment and the screens on a day to day basis? We cover all of this in here.
