The 2025 BMW X3 marks the fourth generation of the German premium brand's critical midsize SUV. And with its competition increasingly heating up, particularly with the onset of fully electric vehicles, it has to make major moves to stand out from the crowd.

So, what's changed with the MercedesBenz GLC rival? Well, it's got an allnew design inside and out, with the exterior smoother and larger than before, while the interior takes a techheavy step forward while integrating a more diverse set of materials.

The nextgen X3's debut is headlined by M50 xDrive, which adds 48V mild hybridisation to its M40i predecessor's 3.0litre turbopetrol sixcylinder engine to now produces 293kW of power and 580Nm of torque.
