Watch the highlights of the women’s and men's BMX Freestyle finals during the Olympic Qualifier Series 2024 in Shanghai, People's Republic of China.

A supreme display of BMX freestyle park acrobatics saw Sun Sibei land first place in the women's competition at the Olympic Qualifier Series Shanghai on Saturday (18 May). In a repeat of the qualification tounds, Sun's compatriots, Sun Jiaqi and Deng Yawen, secured second and third respectively to send the home fans into raptures.

Meanwhile in the men's competition, a storming opening run saw Anthony Jeanjean took first place. Unperturbed by the rising temperatures in the midday sun at another soldout Huangpu Riverside OQS Urban Park arena, he executed flips, handle bar spins, and tail spins with blistering speed for a first run score of 93.54.

Olympic champion Logan Martin of Australia struggled to find rhythm in the first run, but showing his champion credentials, roared back to life with a score of 92.65 to finish second. Great Britain's reigning world champion Kieran Reilly, a noticeably more musclebound athlete than his rivals, used that power to gain huge air and deep gasps from the crowd on his jumps, for third.
