This topic is discussed often so I figured it was a good idea to show exactly how I run my boat to find the right propeller. This will also provide a baseline for deciding if I should change my propeller, and if so how to go about choosing the right diameter and pitch based on the test. Every boat is different, but this test will work for a pontoon, tritoon, fishing boat, or run about...as long as you have a working tachometer!! Without a tachometer you can't get the motor data to know if you've got the right prop.
