The Bob Feller Act of Valor Foundation, through the unique intersection of baseball and the US Navy, recognizes and honors those who support our nation’s service men and women via the Bob Feller Act of Valor Award and uses the Bob Feller story to educate the youth of today the lessons of citizenship, service to one’s country, and sacrifice in times of great national need.

This unique award is intended to recognize a representative from three critical areas of Mr. Feller's life: his MLB career, his service in the Navy as a CPO and his enshrinement in the National Baseball Hall of Fame (NBHOF). Accordingly, the award is presented to one active MLB player, one CPO and one member of the NBHOF. The Bob Feller Act of Valor Foundation will also recognize a group of Sailors, 1825 years old, who have most effectively worked together as a team (in either their personal or professional capacity) to promote peertopeer mentorship and a reduction in Sailor destructive personal decision making and behavior in both afloat and ashore categories. The awards were presented at the Navy Memorial in Washington, D.C. on 16 November 2017.
