Messier 81 and 82 were discovered by Johann Bode in 1774, Affectionately referred to as Bode's Galaxy and the Cigar Galaxy, these are two of my favorite objects in the night sky. In this video, we will look at some of the interesting features of these two galaxies as well as learn a little about their history of observation. The images in this video were captured with my Orion EDO 80 T and ZWO 183 MC Pro camera with Optolong LPro filter.
