Bodiam Castle, situated in East Sussex, England, was constructed between 1385 and 1388 as a defensive fortification during the Hundred Years' War and a symbol of its builder, Sir Edward Dalyngrigge's social standing.

This wellpreserved medieval castle features a square plan with four corner towers, a central courtyard, a surrounding moat, and a drawbridge. Over the centuries, it changed ownership and went through periods of decline and restoration.

Today, Bodiam Castle is a popular tourist destination owned and managed by the National Trust. It is renowned for its picturesque design and serves as a historical gem, showcasing the medieval architecture and military history of 14thcentury England.
