The Bodmin and Wenford Railway held their annual Spring Steam Gala over the first bank holiday weekend in May (3rd 5th). A total of four locomotives were in action including a former resident. Making a brief return was the Mid Hants Railway based SR Unrebuilt Westcountry No. 34007 'Wadebridge' the oldest surviving example of Oliver Bulleid's Pacific. The loco was purchased from Barry Scrapyard in May 1981, initially by the Plym Valley Railway, before moving to Cornwall in the 1990s. Following major restoration, the Pacific made its preservation debut in October 2006, making several visits to other Heritage Railways before becoming a permanent resident at the Watercress Line several years later.

Joining 'Wadebridge' was GWR 6400 Pannier Tank No. 6435, LSWR Beattie Well Tank No. 3298 and LSWR T9 No. 30120.
