Surgical precision, that’s how the floatover installation of the 11,500 ton Bokor CPPA platform topside offshore Sarawak, Malaysia can be characterized. For this incredibly precise operation our semisubmersible heavy transport vessel Forte was fitted out with a dynamic positioning (DP2) system that automatically controlled its position and course during the installation activities. With very limited space to maneuver during the floatover, true craftsmanship was displayed by the project team and crew onboard the Forte.
