This video is a review of the Bosch AXT 25 TC shredder. This is a shredder designed for domestic use, and is quite expensive at £390. It is a great deal cheaper than some of the commercial offerings, which can cost many thousands.

The Bosch AXT 25 TC shredder uses a turbine cut system, which is a sloping drum, cast in one piece and have various blades which cut through materials at low speeds, with a very high torque.

The alternative is the high RPM shredders which are very noisy, but may be better at shredding softer material, and in higher volumes.

This shredder excels with woody material such as sticks and thinner branches, and for me this us useful as these are the items which take forever to compost.

In use the shredder is reasonable quite, and satisfy to use. My 10 year old daughter enjoys using it, as she gets to see the sticks being pulled in and eaten up.

As with all shredders you get to dispose of sticks and branches and leaves, AND you end up with a mulch you can use for suppressing weeds, so two birds with one stone in that respect.
