This is a video demonstrating the sounds of the Boss DR220 A Dr. Rhythm.

The Boss DR220 A was released in 1985 alongside it's electronic sounds orientated Boss DR220 E. It was Roland's first digital drum machine after the the last analog one, the DR110. The samples are 12bit and sound pretty gritty but still really full. I like this machine alltough I had a little trouble getting a right performance in due to the difficulty in clearing one of the voices. I guess step input is probably the way to go on this one.
