BRITISH RAILWAYS IN THE 1980's
Manchester Piccadilly Station on 8th June 1989
Continuing with my archive of video recording between the years of 1986 to 2001 this clip is of Manchester Piccadilly Station taken on 08/06/1989. From the end of the platform the catenary certainly looked very futuristic. Class 304s in a variety of liveries were still abundant and not a voyager in sight...keep an eye out for the double headed class 31 train arriving. I hope the video takes you back to this period with fond memories.
