Dr. Elahi describes findings of brain MRI done on 60+ yearold male patient with signs and symptoms of parkinsonism, e.g. poor balance, shuffling gait, diminishing memory, muscle rigidity, and urinary frequency. MRI showed enlarged fluidfilled spaces (ventricles) that can be part of condition called normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH). This is a condition that can be successful treated with drainage of excess fluid, relieving the poor balance, muscle rigidity, and memory loss.
