Urban Exploring With Kappy

This beautiful Forgotten antebellum farm house was built between 18501855 just before the onset of the American civil war. Sitting out in rural southwest Alabama it has been vacant for over a decade now. The original family it was built for were most likely of above middle class stature too build such a simple but certainly grandiose house for its time and the area of it. The original portion of the house features 4 large rooms with 1215ft tall ceilings and a fireplace in each room. Also a large main central hallway with a steep staircase leading too two smaller upstairs bedrooms. A back addition with a large closed in back porch was most likely added sometime in the early 20th century. Apparently the final owner had plans of restoring the house and moving in but unfortunately passed away before it became possible. Now the house sits in a state of limbo as the grass and yards grow up into a jungle around it over the years. Luckily it’s rural location has mostly protected it from vandals but in a way isolated the house as well. Its future is uncertain but I’m glad I was able too document this old place in pictures and video. Thank you for watching
