Just a short trip south from the Ingural round, the exciting new CanAm series heads to New York and Long Island for the Bridgehampton Grand Prix. In a race which already had enough story lines, it marked the start of perhaps the biggest innovation motorsports has ever seen when Jim Hall unloaded the first of his winged Chapparal's. Onlookers giggles quickly turned to amazement as the white beauties flew around the beachside course. Although the debut ultimately ran into some issues, the cork was out of the bottle, and the battle of wings had begun! Can Richie beat the winged oddies and come out on top?
