The Archer self propelled gun was the result of a need to fit the British 17 pdr antitank gun onto a tracked vehicle. With a need to get this completed quickly several options were tried, including fitting the gun on the now obsolete Valentine chassis to produce the Archer. Another famous example is the Sherman Firefly, which managed to squeeze the gun into a Sherman by rotating it and altering the turret.

In this video I build the kit, paint it with AK Real Colours paints, and weather it using a variety of products including enamel mud products from Ammo by Mig.
