The Dauntless (9'37" and 10'06") was another Dave Platt entry. It crashed on its maiden flight at the Nats of 1967, and was carried back as matchwood! He stayed up all night gluing it back together, and flew it successfully the next day, taking 6th place!


I have incorrectly captioned Dennis Hammant's model at 11'48" as an "Altair". It was actually a "King Spectre", very similar to the "Altair".
