BSMS Monthly Lecture: Time for Dementia An innovation in dementia education

More than 900,000 people live with a diagnosis of dementia in the UK, and most people will require a range of health and social care during their lives. To ensure healthcare professionals have the right skills, knowledge, and attitudes to support people with dementia, good quality education needs to be provided at undergraduate level. The Time for Dementia programme was designed at BSMS to meet that aim and help future generations of healthcare professionals learn about the reallife experiences of living with dementia.

In November’s monthly lecture, Yvonne Feeney provided a background about dementia and discussed the learning experiences for students taking part in the Time for Dementia programme.

This video is part of the BSMS Monthly Lecture series.
