Bubbler Air Stone vs Emitter

O2 Grow Oxygen Emitters deliver maximum oxygen to your plants roots. Electrolysis with nano bubble technology differs from adding oxygen to the water with bubblers. With bubblers, air from the environment is pumped through the water with a stone or diffuser. The air bubbles float to the surface of the water and burst. This method works much like the air filtering system in a fish tank. However, with this method the bubblers are only drawing in the air we breath, which is 21% oxygen. Pumping the air through the stones or adding more bubblers won’t increase the dissolved oxygen (DO) in the water because the level of DO will be limited by the level of oxygen in the air. In addition, bubblers often draw in warm ambient air from a grow room or greenhouse, which can be counter productive. Oxygen levels decrease when the water temperature climbs above 65 degrees, diminishing the potential to improve plant growth with added DO. While adding “chillers” may decrease the temperature of the water, they also increase energy consumption. And finally, like a fish tank filter, bubblers are noisy and use more electricity than does an O2 Grow nano bubbler.
Dennis Clark, president of the Oxygen Research Group says you can have 2 ppm of dissolved
oxygen coming out of a well and with a bubbler you can get up to 8 ppm. “But what if you got 12 ppm,” he continues. “That’s when you start to notice the difference.” This can be achieved with the nano bubbler technology available from O2 Grow.

The O2 Grow units are designed for horticulture applications, using this device for marine life management is not recommended.

O2 Grow, a division of the Oxygen Research Group LLC, is the exclusive worldwide licensee for patented technology that significantly increases the level of dissolved oxygen in water.
