Join me on my first Alaskan cruise, a bucketlist vacation filled with breathtaking beauty and rich history! We scored an amazing deal on Holland America and set sail towards the end of May, the perfect time to experience Alaska's stunning landscapes and vibrant wildlife.

Explore the aweinspiring Hubbard Glacier and majestic Glacier Bay, where the icecalving and serene waters create a mesmerizing spectacle. Visit the charming towns of Skagway, Juneau, and Ketchikan, each with its unique blend of history, culture, and local delicacies.

Our adventure includes thrilling activities like the Temsco Helicopter tour to Mendenhall Glacier, where we soared above the stunning ice fields and landed for an upclose experience. Whale watching was another highlight, with magnificent creatures breaching and playing in the waters around us.

We crossed the Yukon Suspension Bridge in Skagway, explored Reid Falls and the Gold Rush Cemetery, and tasted the delicious Alaskan fry bread. Downtown Skagway offered a mix of historic charm and modern amenities, while Sittin Sasquatch served a unique reindeer hotdog experience.

Juneau's Tracy's King Crab Shack provided mouthwatering king crab, and we discovered a less busy spot down the road with the same great food. Downtown Juneau was vibrant and full of life, perfect for exploring. Ketchikan's Creek Street and George Inlet Lodge offered unique experiences, from salmon watching to allyoucaneat crab feasts.

We also visited the fascinating Skagway museums, including the Mascot Saloon and Visitor Center Museum, and the picturesque Whale Park, featuring beautiful totem poles. Each stop added a special touch to our journey, making it an unforgettable experience.

Back in Vancouver, we explored the Bill Reid Gallery of Northwest Coast Art, Granville Island, and the bustling Public Market, and enjoyed the scenic rides on the Aquabuses.
