We never intended to start breeding with our budgies already. But we made a mistake that could have been prevented with more knowledge. With our first budgies, Misty and Blue, we didn't know much about budgies and we made them a nest 'in case they wanted to have babies'. I realise now it wasn't a smart decision.

We left the nest in the cage when we got Mini and Micky, not realising that we would encourage them to mate. We also didn't know it could cause such health problems if budgies under 1 year old would start mating. In this video, you can see what happened to Mini. Thank God we were able to help her!
