When I started building my home theater, I knew I wanted to have some original movie posters and there is no beating the real deal. However, you only have room to display so many of them. You first have to find them and if they are popular pay a lot of money for them. Then you need to build or purchase a frame for each of them and find wall space to hang them.

With a digital movie poster, you can display as many posters as you want in one frame and switch them out as often as you want.

Using the free movieposterapp software found at http://www.movieposterapp.com you can turn your LCD TV into a movie poster display. This software can integrate with media server software like Plex and Kodi and will display a Now Showing poster for the movie that you are watching.

I'll cover all of the parts you need and walk you through how I built my frame, installed the software and mounted the frame to the wall. It's a pretty simple process and with some basic tools and a little handy work, you can build one too.
