Building a DIY nature pond with a bog filter.

It started with a pile of rocks and turned into a DIY pond build with a bog filter. First step...dig a deep hole. It's a requirement for any serious pond build. Next step will of course be to line and design your new pond. This is where it get's fun. It's organic, its sweaty, and it's an absolutely rewarding DIY project. If you'd like to build your own pond, I've compiled a list of the parts I used below:

MATERIALS LIST
► 10X13 LDPE Pond Liner https://amzn.to/3xFHSm9
► 550 GPH Submersible Pump https://amzn.to/3mydns5
► 1/2" Flexible Tubing https://amzn.to/39aMlDQ
► Pump Filter Box https://amzn.to/3NJ67Ft
► 10 Bags Pond Pebbles https://tinyurl.com/2339c7r3
► 10 Bags Pea Gravel https://tinyurl.com/3uudamkx
► 4 Bags Pavers Sand https://tinyurl.com/mespyr7c
► 1" PVC tubing and PVC fittings to build your bog filter (no link because this will be custom)
► 1 pallet of pond stone or boulders (no link because this will be custom)

You'll also need approximately 1 pallet of pond stones to go in and around your pond. These can be whatever you like. I found mine locally on Marketplace and picked it up from somewhere who had replaced it in their yard. You can find stone for your pond at any local landscape supply store and most of them deliver if you can't haul the stone yourself.

For the bog filter you'll want to customize based on the shape of your pond. The general rule is every 3 feet of width needs a fork off your manifold. All you're building is a tube that disperses the water out evenly along the bottom of your bog filter.
